Hi I’m Georgia I hail from Melbourne, Australia.
Jack of all, I’m easily bored and would try anything once…except bungee jumping, that’s not happening. I froth over anything homemade and am in my element in the kitchen. My love affair with food comes with me everywhere I go, it pushes me to see new places and meet new people.
Hi I’m Melodie and even though I now live in London I grew up in a semi-rural paradise up in Far Northern Queensland where my best friend had an organic fruit orchard and in a family where ‘whats for dinner?’ was ALWAYS a hot topic. With an inherently inquisitive nature and a healthy obsession for food I followed my stomach into 10 years of working in hospitality and ate my way around the world. Eating is what I do best, I’ve always been good at it and I think when balanced with my background it has lead naturally into my discovery of cooking, farming, and into the wild world of all things culinary.
SO THE STORY GOES…
Our paths crossed at a friend’s dinner party and on the menu that night was pasta and red wine, two things we both cant live without. When our powers are combined we make magic in the kitchen. Even if most of the time those kitchens are on opposite sides of the world.
On Farm to Face you will find our own recipes, research on local and seasonal produce, notes on sustainable ingredients and heaps more love for people you deserve to know about.
We are very strict on keeping the joy of eating at the forefront of everything we do. With healthy balance in mind we steer well clear of cutting out whole food groups, self-righteous sermons, or anything else that deprives us of quality food. We wouldn’t do it to ourselves, so why would we do it to you?
The plight to broaden the community’s value of the little guys doing extraordinary things has driven us to push ourselves to the next level. Recently we were lucky enough to have a project funded by some very generous friends of Farm to Face via Kickstarter.
Incredibly, we were given the opportunity to travel through Italy, where we produced the pilot for our television series. We know you are all dying to see a final cut and we promise it’s not too far along the pipeline.
